Approached by a discerning owner seeking to reimagine a low-quality spec house within its existing footprint, we aimed to evoke the essence of a modern seaside retreat. The final design replaced the ineffective tri-level deck with a wrap-around deck for entertaining guests and showcased a spacious 28-foot-wide aluminum multi-slide glass wall, creating seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity. It also features a distinctive overhang over the south-facing glass, enhancing aesthetics and energy efficiency.
